Joe Hertlein in Annapolis, MD on Sunday, September 28, 2014. Friends were aware that Joe had been in poor health recently battling several forms of cancer. No Memorial services would be held.

Joe was part of the January ’62 graduating class. The Beacon indicates that he was part of the Round-Up Staff, and a Senior Speaker. In the Mock Elections, Joe was voted “Boy Class Chatterbox.” He also participated in a skit in Western’s Cowboy Capers called “How Could You Believe Me When I Said I Loved You When You Know I’ve Been a Liar All My Life”.
